Why Five Toes Free Exists

The fact that conventional shoes are so foot-unfriendly is frustrating – especially because it’s so easy to fix! Putting casts of “support” around any other body part is rightly frowned upon (except for medical reasons), so why do we accept doing essentially that to our feet and keeping them weak?

I started Five Toes Free because I love looking into things I’m passionate about in-depth – I want to make it easier for other people to find their way through the increasingly large world of barefoot shoes.

Five Years In…

Five years in, I’m still interested in what’s new, what’s genuinely good, and what actually works for real feet. That probably isn’t going to change any time soon. I also think you’ll become a convert if you dare to wear barefoot shoes.
